Room Tone Generation
In File > Project Templates you will find a room tone generation template. The method is derived from here. To create endless room tone based on the venue you recorded:
- Click Browse in ReaVerb and select your few seconds of recorded reverb.
- Enable the FX on the first mixer track
- Adjust the length of the included region to the length of your live album
- Render using Bounds > All project regions
Save the rendered file as roomtone.wav in your ReaClassical project's media folder. When you add a Room Tone track via Mission Control, ReaClassical imports roomtone.wav onto it automatically (it is never overwritten if the track already has an item). Each time you run Create CD Markers via Y, the room tone item is trimmed to end at the =END marker, or at the end of the last item on the first folder if that marker does not exist yet, and automation-based fades are added to coincide with opposite fade types on the first track, creating perfect crossfades into room tone and back without any fuss. If the room tone audio is shorter than the album, you are warned how many seconds short it is.
